|Avocado oil||Avocado oil is deeply absorbed by the skin, thus making it an ideal moisturizer and skin care agent. Avocado oil is rich in antioxidants, making it useful for healing sun-damaged skin. Antioxidants like vitamins A, D and E in avocado cause the skin to be suppler, and are thus particularly good for dry or aged skin.|
The preservative we use is paraben-free and formaldehyde-free.
Ingredients: Shea butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado oil, emulsifying wax, stearic acid(not an acid), Optiphen(paraben-free preservative), essential oil or fragrance oil (see individual product list)

Do you use a "preservative" in your lotions?
Yes, since the time we started making lotion in 2017, we do use a paraben-free, formaldehyde-free preservative in our Hand and Body Cream products for a very good reason...Products that contain water (including hydosols, floral water, aloe vera, goat's milk which all contain water) or, products that will come into contact with water (eg. a scrubbie used with wet fingers) require a preservative. It is essential to help prevent microbes (Bacteria, mold, yeast) from growing. This photo shows a test batch of lotion without the use of preservatives. You can see the mold growing. Yuck!
Preservatives stop growth by acting on spores when they germinate and kill cells (usually by disrupting cell membranes) or by making the product hostile to growth.
Thank you for the question!
